You’re a … teacher?

Rex told us about the new Indiana Jones movie a month ago, but now there is a trailer out, and it ends with what gets my vote for “best tag line in an action movie trailer” … ever:

P. Kerim Friedman is an assistant professor in the Department of Ethnic Relations and Cultures at National Dong Hwa University, in Taiwan, where he teaches linguistic and visual anthropology. He is co-director of the film Please Don't Beat Me, Sir!, winner of the 2011 Jean Rouch Award from the Society of Visual Anthropology. Follow Kerim on Twitter.

Better than that–we learn that Indy is an adjunct!

  3. OK, a bit late on the uptake, but it finally struck me what “adjunct” means in Indy’s world. Some mean-spirited archaeologists have pointed out that Indy is nothing better than a looter of archaeological sites. Now, we can see better: Instead of being just a looter, he’s participating in an informal economy wrought by the educational-industrial complex that pays him by the course on demand. He loots sites to pay for health insurance.

I hope that comes out in the movie!
