Scholarly Communications Interest Group
Of all the various sections and interest groups listed on the AAA website, I find it ironic, but unsurprising, that the “Scholarly Communications Interest Group” is one of the few without a link to a dedicated web page. Because I am now suddenly so involved in debates regarding scholarly communication in the AAA, I thought it might be worth while joining this interest group when I renew my AAA membership. Joining an interest group is free after all. But if they can’t even get it together to set up a web page, one has to wonder if it is even worth checking off that box…
PS: Wasn’t there supposed to be a major redesign of the AAA website in time for the annual meeting? What happened to that?
