The Savage Minds party

by on November 28th, 2005

It’s official: the Savage Minds party will be in my hotel on Saturday night at AAAs. Don’t know my room # yet, but this information will be circulating at the meetings. If you come to the AnthroSource event on Thursday evening I will tell you about it for sure, otherwise just get it from the grapevine. Feel free to drop by with a little beer, wine, or soda (or, as they say at the University of Chicago, ‘pop’) and meet the staff and our friends and colleagues.

Alex Golub is an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He studies mining and petroleum development in Papua New Guinea, as well as American culture in to the online game World of Warcraft. You can contact him at rex@savageminds.org

Are all of this blog’s readers welcome or just the authors? Will there be a bulletin board if we get lost?

I think only 3.5 of the authors will even be at the AAAs so yes all readers welcome! About getting lost — hopefully an update will be posted here, but if not, tracking down Kerim or Rex at the meetings is probably the way to go. They may post a more helpful answer if they are checking in during the meetings.
