AnthroSource Steering Committee

by on August 31st, 2005

The List Of Things Officially My Fault just got longer — I’m very pleased to announce that I have been selected to become a member of the AnthroSource Steering Committee.

We’ve talked “about AnthroSource”:http://savageminds.org/2005/05/24/anthrosource-actually-useful/ on Savage Minds before — in fact thanks to Kerim and Chris “you can use it with CiteULike”:http://savageminds.org/2005/06/27/tutorial-how-to-use-citeulike-with-anthrosource/ (huzzah!). While I have some competency thinking about technology and have managed various technology organizations before, I’ve never served on an Official AAA committee before and so I have no idea how it works or what specifically we will do — hopefully good stuff. However, by signing on to the AnthroSource Steering Committee it does become at least partially my responsibility. So if for some reason you have something to say about AnthroSource, feel free to say it to me by emailing me at golub at hawaii dot edu.

Alex Golub is an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He studies mining and petroleum development in Papua New Guinea, as well as American culture in to the online game World of Warcraft. You can contact him at rex@savageminds.org

  2. Oh, thank god. I was worried that 1) they would pick me and 2) they would pick neither you nor me. I’m thrilled that they failed on only one count. I’m now quite confident that this project will have its horses and carts in order. kudos and good luck!
