More cheap books

The University of California Press is having “another major sale”:http://www.ucpress.edu/books/sale/ with a fair number of “decent anthropology books”:http://www.ucpress.edu/books/sale/ANTMAJ.sub.html going cheap. The internet has made the market for academic books scarily efficient, so its possible to get many of these titles in new condition at prices even below those that the UC Press is offering. But if you want to pick up a copy of Nuclear Rites or somesuch for five bucks less than Amazon is selling them for, then maybe this sale would be helpful.

The other nice thing about this sale is that the Top Secret Code required to buy books at the discounted price is not so secret — you can get it by signing up for their mailing list, which doesn’t take too long to do (and can, I imagine, be unsubscribed from equally quickly).

  1. Thanks! Nothing like discount anthro.

When you check out there’s a “how did you hear about us” question, but “blog” is not yet an option.
