I am hoping to pursue my PhD in New Zealand, and I was under the impression that the student loan crisis was neither as pervasive nor as oppressive in NZ as it is here in the United States. I have student loans, but luckily my outstanding balance is only a fraction of the national average here. I hope this isn’t a characteristic of graduate schools in NZ as well!
