I remember buying and reading ‘The Blank Slate’ at school to only have my hopes of something insightful crushed, though I should have known from the title. It seems that students get a lot out of it! Typically my students fall into two camps: (1) Diamond was, at worst, naive or (2) haters be player hatin’ because they never got a Pulitzer. It makes for good conversation.
