In my case, the individual in question is my wife/business partner/best friend Ruth McCreery, and I've noticed that it helps a lot that both her writing style and thinking process are very different from my own. My relationship to Ruth seems very much like the relationship that Joanna has with Pál. Just want to reinforce the message that having a good partner/critic/editor is a very good thing, indeed, for a writer.
